DETROIT (AP) -- Two of the city's three casinos saw revenues fall last month, but the local industry still brought in slightly more cash than last year, thanks to a good month at MGM Grand Detroit.
February revenues increased 9 percent to $39.6 million over last year, according to figures released Monday by the Michigan Gaming Control Board.
Revenues at MotorCity Casino fell 3 percent to $36.1 million, while Greektown Casino's revenues fell 5 percent to $26.6 million.
Combined revenues for the three casinos rose $786,000 to $101.4 million.
Either MGM Grand or MotorCity is expected to change hands in the coming months. MGM Grand's owner, MGM Mirage, is in the process of acquiring Mandalay Resorts, the majority owner of MotorCity. Michigan law prohibits one company from owning more than 10 percent in two Detroit casinos.
