Hancock Fabrics moves, expands

Hancock Fabrics has relocated its Sterling Heights store to 44935 Hayes. The 10,700-square-foot store features expanded departments for quilting, special occasion needs and home décor. The Baldwyn, Miss-based chain has 14 stores in Michigan. Nationwide, Hancock Fabrics has 445 stores in 42 states.

 

3 retailers to join mall at Birch Run

Prime Outlets at Birch Run in Monroe is getting three new retailers: Banana Republic, Calvin Klein and Ann Taylor. Banana Republic plans to open a 7,600-square-foot store in July. The Calvin Klein store is 5,500 square feet and scheduled to open at the end of April. A 10,500-square-foot Ann Taylor Factory store is slated for September. The outlet mall has 170 retailers.

 

Chain store sales climb 0.2 percent

Retail chain store sales rose 0.2 percent for the week ending March 19, according to the International Council of Shopping Centers Weekly Chain Store Sales Index.
