Irresistible little finds scream Halloween

Last week, we were pumped up about pumpkin-themed items for your home. But it doesn't end there. This week, we are featuring several other things we think will be great additions to your Halloween decor.

• Designed for indoor or outdoor use, this lovable, metal kitty-cat can be used to hold a plant, candy or pens and pencils. (When filled with sand, it can also serve as an outdoor ashtray.) Two different sizes are in stock. The 12-inch cat costs $24.99; the 20-inch, $39.99, at Wild Birds Unlimited in Grosse Pointe Woods.

• If it's cold on Halloween night, these cute 18-ounce mugs (with multicolored striped interiors) would be ideal to fill with cocoa, coffee or mulled cider. Of course, they could also be perfect vessels for candy corn, M&Ms or what have you. Find them for $8.95 each at Crate & Barrel in Troy.

• What a hoot! These Styrofoam and metal figures would look fabulous sitting on your kitchen counter or dining room table on Halloween night. The 18 1/2 -inch witch (complete with broom) is $14.95 as is the 17-inch Dracula (complete with bat). Visit them at Pier 1 Imports.

• When you press Howton, the fuzzy fellow on the left, $30, his lips move while he sings "Monster Mash." And when you press Cooky Chris Monster, the guy on the right, $25, his hands move up and down and his head bobs while he sings "Ghostbusters." Created by Gund, they're both available at Adventures in Toys in Birmingham.
