Water main repairs planned in western Oakland County

Detroit -- The residents of Keego Harbor, Sylvan Lake and portions of West Bloomfield Township may see some lower water pressure next week, officials with the Detroit Water and Sewerage Department said Friday.

The water department plans to make repairs on Wednesday and Thursday to a leaky water main on the border of Keego Harbor and Sylvan Lake.

Crews will be working on a 42-inch water main, which could result in some disruption of service.

"We apologize for the imposition these repairs will cause customers served by DWSD in the affected areas, and we are grateful for their cooperation and understanding during this temporary inconvenience," Director Pamela Turner said in a statement.

During the repairs, Keego Harbor residents will be supplied with water through emergency connections to Orchard Lake Village.

Residents should refer questions on the status of the repair work to their local water departments, Turner said.
