2008 Michigan Merit Exam scores

High school juniors last spring did slightly better than the Class of 2007 on the Michigan Merit Exam, the series of tests used to determine eligibility for the state's $4,000 scholarships. Meanwhile, the state average ACT composite score was unchanged at 18.8. You can use this interactive database to see how your school or district did on the tests.

How to use this tool:

To find your school or school district, you can search several ways. You can first choose your county and then your district, or you can go through the list of school districts, or even schools. For every district, there is a record for the district's overall results, as well as separate records for each school.

You can limit your search to charter schools or public schools, or include both. Just select "either" in that field.

If you want to look at all the schools in your county, just select that county and make sure all other fields are set to "any" or "either." The results will be sorted from highest to lowest ACT composite score.

NOTE: For the Michigan Merit Exam, results are for the spring. A comparison is provided to the district or school's performance in 2007.
