Adam Lambert is very, very sorry about his American Music Awards performance and would like to apologize to anyone who may have been offended by it. Yeah, right. Lambert was pleased as punch that his hyper-sexual, in-your-face performance at Sunday's AMAs managed to be the talker of the day -- we'd call it a "watercooler moment" but really, when was the last time you saw anyone hanging around a watercooler in real life? -- on Monday. "I'm not an artist that does things for every single person," Lambert, whose debut album was released Monday, told "Access Hollywood." "I believe in artistic freedom and expression. I believe in honoring the lyrics of a song, and those lyrics aren't really for everybody, either." Lambert's performance was reportedly edited for the West Coast broadcast of the show, which upset the singer and got him going on the "big double standard" in over-the-top, button-pushing awards show performances. "Female pop artists have been doing things provocative like that for years, and the fact that I'm a male, and I'll be edited and discriminated against could be a problem," he said. "People are scared and it's really sad. I just wish people could open their minds up and enjoy things. It's all for a laugh, it's really not that big of a deal."
