Kate Lawson / The Detroit News

These new, ready-to-serve soups offer a delicious meal solution that is nutritional and filling. All seven varieties of Dr. McDougall's Chunky Soups (including lentil, minestrone, roasted red pepper and black bean) are all-natural, rich in flavor and never too salty. The soups are vegan and free of genetically modified ingredients and are low in calories and fat. They also are a great meal option for those with food allergies as five varieties are gluten-free. Not only are the soups good for heart health, they are good for the environment. The soup's recyclable carton packaging touts a lower carbon footprint than traditional soup cans. Available at Whole Foods and Meijer for $3.29 for an 18-ounce package.
