Houston has a problem on U.K. TV
Finally, a wardrobe malfunction that's actually a wardrobe malfunction! Midway through a performance on the U.K.'s "The X Factor" on Saturday, a strap on Whitney Houston 's glittery dress snapped, leaving Houston temporarily flummoxed and looking for a quick fix. Everything stayed in place, however, and Houston kept right on singing, finishing her performance of "Million Dollar Bill." Afterward, Houston quipped, "I sang myself out of my clothes!" She later said she'd return to the U.K. for a tour in April; no word yet on any American dates for Houston.
GNR announces Canadian dates
The saga of Guns N' Roses continues to get ... weirder. Axl Rose's group, which has not performed since November's release of "Chinese Democracy," announced a tour on Monday: A Canadiantour, of all things. The 13-date outing kicks off Jan. 13 in Winnipeg and wraps Nov. 4 in Halifax, with a Jan. 28 stop at Toronto's Air Canada Centre. Right, because Canada is so lovely in the dead of winter? For anybody who thinks that tour is going to go off without a hitch, we've got suite tickets for Kanye West and Lady Gaga's Fame Kills tour that we think you'd be interested in.

• Kanye West might want to DVR this: Taylor Swift will host the next live edition of "SNL," on Nov. 7.
• Listen up during tonight's episode of "Melrose Place": Detroit pop-rock group Bear Lake 's"Where Do We Go" will be played during the episode, airing at 9 p.m. on the CW. The track is from the group's current album, "Places on the Side."
• Def Leppard 'supcoming tour, which included dates in Detroit and Grand Rapids, has been scrapped, according to a post on the band's Web site. "Personal matters" were to blame. Refunds are available at the point of purchase.
