Bob Seger chronicler to discuss photo memoir at Book Beat

Longtime Detroit music photographer Thomas Weschler will discuss the photo history book, "Travelin' Man: On the Road and Behind the Scenes with Bob Seger" (Wayne State University Press, $27.95) at 7 p.m. Thursday at Book Beat, 26010 Greenfield Road, in Oak Park. Weschler, who wrote the book with music journalist Gary Graff, served as Bob Seger's road manager for several years in the 1970s, and the book is a backstage memoir and a mini-history of Seger's career during those years.
