Waterford Township -- A theater coordinator for Waterford Schools has been arraigned on charges of criminal sexual assault involving a student.
Brian Charles Drake, who worked for the Performing Arts Centers for the Waterford School District until Sept. 15, was charged Monday with three counts of criminal sexual assault.
Police began an investigation in September after allegations involving Drake and the student surfaced. Drake is accused of having sexual relations with a Waterford Mott High school student in the theater of Waterford Kettering High. The alleged victim no longer attends Mott.

Drake appeared before Judge Phyllis McMillen, who set a $15,000 personal bond. Drake is expected back in court Thursday for a pre-exam conference.
Drake faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted.
District officials issued a statement Tuesday saying its first priority is the safety of its students and that it has worked collaboratively with the police department in its investigation. The statement also said Drake managed both the Kettering and Mott performing art centers.
