This week's new releases for kids, teens and families:
"Wunderkind Little Amadeus: Season One" (Not rated, Naxos, $24.99): This animated PBS series celebrates one of classical music's greatest composers, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, with fictional stories of his younger years. Each of the 13 episodes is accompanied by an educational segment about music or history. The show airs locally at 9 a.m. Sundays on WTVS (Channel 56). For more information, visit www.little-amadeus.com.
"SciQ" vol. 1 and 2 (Not rated, Smithsonian Networks, $9.98-$14.98): Teen hosts Paula, Andrew and Pemma take kids for a wild ride through the world of science in this series. Viewers can visit a crime scene investigation lab, learn about movie special effects and try living underwater in the episodes on these two DVDs.

"Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure" (Rated G, Disney, $29.99/$39.99): The second film in the "Disney Fairies" series sees our intrepid little heroine saving Pixie Hollow again when its supply of pixie dust is threatened during the autumnal Blue Moon. She also sports a costume reminiscent of a certain well-known, unrequited love she'll be teaming with in the future.
"Saturday Morning Cartoons: 1960s" vol. 2 and "1970s" vol. 2 (Not rated, Warner Bros., $26.99 each): A new batch of nostalgia comes home in these two collections built mostly from the Hanna-Barbera library. See old favorites such as "Space Kidettes," "The Peter Potamus Show," "The New Adventures of Gilligan," "Shazzan" and "Inch High Private Eye."
Other titles: "An Old Fashioned Thanksgiving;" "Pokemon: Diamond and Pearl Battle Dimension"; "Scholastic Treasure of 100 Storybook Classics"; "The Secret Saturdays" (vol. 2).
