Local classical musicians in White House forum

Local classical musicians will be a part of a forum on classical music during the Classical Music Student Workshop Concert at the White House on Wednesday. The musicians are from the Sphinx Preparatory Music Institute at Wayne State University, Sphinx Competition Alumni and Sphinx Performance Academy students. The musicians also will take part in a concert where Michelle Obama will introduce Grammy Award-winners such as violinist Joshua Bell, guitarist Sharon Isbin, cellist Alisa Weilerstein and pianist Awadagin Pratt.
