Pistons' Tayshaun Prince to miss at least three games with back strain

Vincent Goodwill / The Detroit News

Auburn Hills -- The Pistons were once one of the most durable teams in the NBA, and in this season of transition, even that isn't a given. Forward Tayshaun Prince was to miss Tuesday night's game against the Orlando Magic because of a lower back strain.

Prince had started 496 consecutive games, second among active players only to Andre Miller. Jonas Jerebko is starting in place of Prince.

Prince also will not travel to Toronto or Orlando for games Wednesday and Friday.

Guard Richard Hamilton has missed the last three games, including Tuesday, because of an ankle sprain. He will not play against Toronto, either.

The Pistons activated rookie forward DaJuan Summers for Tuesday's game.
