Detroit man arrested in stabbing of 21-year-old

A Detroit man was jailed Wednesday pending arraignment in the stabbing of a 21-year-old Howell man in the neck in the Hometown Howell Village subdivision in Marion Township. The victim suffered severe cuts during the 5:30 a.m. fight, Sheriff's deputies said. The victim was taken to University Hospital in Ann Arbor and is expected to recover. The 26-year-old suspect turned himself into Detroit police later Wednesday.

Swine flu shots offered on Thurs. to priority groups

Livingston County Department of Public Health will offer an immunization clinic for H1N1 from 3-7 p.m. Thursday at 2300 E.Grand River in Howell. The vaccine will be administered to priority groups, such as pregnant women, children 6 months to 4 years old, those living with children under 6, children 5-18 with medical conditions like asthma and health care workers.
