Wings' Lebda misses practice with illness

Dana Wakiji / The Detroit News

Detroit -- Fortunately, it's not another injury but the Red Wings were down another player at practice Monday.

Defenseman Brett Lebda did not skate because of illness.

"He's sick," coach Mike Babcock said. "He came in today and he had a fever so obviously real precautious, try and look after that."

Babcock, captain Nick Lidstrom, former Wing Chris Chelios and members of the front office were flying to Toronto Monday afternoon to attend the Hall of Fame induction ceremony tonight. Wings vice president Steve Yzerman is among those being inducted.
