Debate tonight on plans for film, bowling complex
City planning leaders are meeting at 7:30 tonight to discuss a $14 million project that would bring a movie theater with 10 screens, 16 lanes of bowling and a liquor license to downtown Royal Oak. The Emagine Entertainment project is a 73,000-square-foot building proposed for 11 Mile and Troy Street, near the city's library and farmers market. Some residents oppose the project due to its size and possible parking problems. The city's Plan Commission is considering site plan approval for the project. It meets at city hall, 211 Williams.
