Warren -- One of four teens accused of killing a man over a couple of $5 bags of marijuana was found guilty today of second-degree murder and armed robbery.
Brandon Lee Ebel, 16, of Warren faces up to life in prison. He will be sentenced Dec. 16 by Macomb County Circuit Judge Edward Servitto.
"Our office is elated over the convictions because the defendant will be held accountable for his violent actions," Macomb County Assistant Prosecutor Steven Kaplan said this afternoon.

Ebel, along with three friends, was accused of beating Michael McCarthy, 46, on July 26 to retrieve some stolen marijuana, which led to his death.
"This crime was an excessive reaction to a trivial action," Kaplan said.
Kevin David Antone, 18, of Warren faces trial later this month in the incident. Two other teens, Jacob Steven Androsuk, 18, of Warren and Thomas Henry Post, 18, of Sterling Heights took plea deals and will be sentenced later this month.
