Police have filed an additional sexual assault charge against a former Detroit Lion and track coach accused of having sexual relations with a 14-year-old girl, officials said today.
Last week, authorities in the cities of Roseville and Fraser filed several felony charges against Tommie Boyd, 38, of Shelby Township, including first- and second-degree criminal sexual conduct and accosting children for immoral purposes. He faces up to life in prison if convicted.
Boyd is being held at the Macomb County Jail on a $300,000 bond.

Tuesday, Fraser Police said they filed another felony charge against Boyd: one count of third-degree criminal sexual conduct.
The charge comes after police learned of another victim during their investigation, according to Lt. Dan Kolke of the Fraser Public Safety Department.
The victim told police she was sexually assaulted by Boyd when she was 16 and he was her coach, Kolke said in a statement.
Boyd is scheduled to be arraigned on the new charge at 8:30 a.m. today in the 39th District Court. Police arrested Boyd last Wednesday.
Boyd was a contract teacher and coach for the Fraser Public Schools district.
Authorities say allegations of Boyd inappropriately touching female students date back to 2007.
He is also accused of having sex with one girl, who was 15 at the time, at a Roseville motel in July.
