The job fairs are from 3-7 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at First Student's west Detroit bus lot, 8145 Greenfield. Applicants unable to attend may apply at the First Student offices, 8145 Greenfield or 10205 Mack Ave., from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is not required to apply. The company will provide training for those who need a CDL.

"Potential drivers must understand the importance of driving a school bus and make safety their core value. They must be able to pass the company's extensive background checks, drug and alcohol tests, and rigorous training program, which includes in-classroom, behind-the-wheel and safety training for new drivers," according to First Student.
